American Horror Story will kick off its terrifying new chapter this September. FX announced Monday that the ninth season, titled 1984, will premiere Wednesday, September 18th. Despite rumors that 1984 would be a sequel to last season, Apocalypse, it appears as though the installment will pay tribute to ’80s slasher movies.

Netflix is ramping up its star power. The streamer said Monday that George Clooney is attached to direct and star in a feature based on Lily Brooks-Dalton’s 2016 novel Good Morning, Midnight, which was adapted for screen by The Revenant scribe Mark L. Smith.

The long-gestating third season of the “Scream” series is finally debuting–but not on its original network. The series will air on VH1 instead of MTV as originally planned. “Scream” will debut on VH1, July 8th and air two one-hour episodes back-to-back for three straight nights.
