Town of Penetanguishene Encourages Residents to Place Garbage Containers Where They Don’t Hamper Snow Removal

The Town of Penetanguishene has issued a notice to remind residents and business owners that during the winter season, the main objective of the Snow Clearing and Removal Operations is to clear the snow quickly from the streets. This critical service can be significantly hampered by the placement of garbage and recycling containers within the roadway or along the edge of the road.

In an effort to maintain the safety and efficiency of these operations the Town is requesting that homeowners and businesses place their garbage/recycling containers away from the roads and place inside of the driveways.

The Public Works Department is thanking residents and business owners in advance for their attention to this important subject.   Any questions or concerns with regards to the above should be directed to  Bryan Murray, Director of Public Works at 705-549-7992.
