Two suspended drivers have been issued court dates after they were found operating vehicles.
On March 12, 2017, just before 8 p.m., Grey County OPP conducted a traffic stop on Sykes St. N. in Meaford. The driver of the pick-up truck was found to be suspended. The 44-year old male from Barrie, Ontario, is scheduled to appear in Owen Sound Court on May 29, 2017.
On March 13, 2017, just before 2 a.m., Grey County OPP conducted a traffic stop on Grey Rd. 4 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands. The driver of the Kia Rondo was found to be suspended. The 28-year old male, from Owen Sound, is scheduled to appear in Owen Sound court on May 8, 2017.
His passenger, a 48- year old male from Arran-Elderslie Township, was charged with “cause motor vehicle to operate without insurance” under the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act. He is scheduled to appear in court on May 8, 2017. The vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
