The Missing Serval Cat Has Been Found

Continued coverage on this story we brought you.

The missing Serval cat was captured this morning without incident by a Huronia Animal Control officer who had been working closely with Southern Georgian Bay OPP.

The cat named “Cassie” was captured without incident and is being transported by the animal control officer to it’s new home at a Ontario based exotic wildlife sanctuary.

Huronia Animal Control and Southern Georgian Bay OPP wish to thank the members of the public who assisted during the search for “Cassie”.

Animal ownership is regulated by bylaws, and Tiny Township bans the ownership of felines other than the domestic housecat. But serval cats are still sold as pets, sometimes fetching thousands of dollars.
