The Audience Choice award went to Devin Hannam of Grey Noise Entertainment. Devin is planning to open a professional audio recording and music development facility offering audio engineering services, studio space, equipment rentals, lessons and more. The Audience’s Choice receives $5.00 from every ticket sold so it is important to purchase your tickets to support local start-ups. Devin received $385.00 from this year’s Audience plus $1,250.00 from the Dragons.
Jamie Sirna & Beth Sallewsky have started Love of Brian a livestock rescue. Even though they were not winners of this year’s event they still received $700.00 from the Dragons and prizes to help them expand their business.
The most valuable thing that all the Contestants take home from the event is the mentoring they receive from the Dragons. Advice from the Dragons will go a long way in helping the Contestants make a success of their businesses. Let’s not forget that this event also gives the Contestants a chance to introduce themselves to the Meaford Community.
The focus of the evening was on continued support for each of the Contestants and their businesses. The Chamber of Commerce thanks all of our Contestants, Dragons, Sponsors and the organizing committee for making this show a model of a local business initiative that creates real results for our local economy.
