October 1st, a wholly owned Ontario subsidiary of EPCOR Utilities Inc. (EPCOR) completed the acquisition of Collus PowerStream Corp., an electricity distributor to more than 17,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers in Collingwood, Stayner, Creemore and Thornbury. Through the acquisition, all employees of Collus PowerStream have joined the EPCOR team. The Ontario Energy Board approved EPCOR’s acquisition of Collus PowerStream, August 30th. Grey County OPP have safety concerns with the actions of some people who are choosing not to follow the posted signs at Eugenia Falls, Grey Highlands. Grey Sauble Conservation has posted signs to keep visitors on the trails and within the assigned viewing areas for the falls. If you make the choice to go outside of the assigned viewing area or leave the marked trail and you are observed in this activity by police, you may be charged with engage in prohibited activity on premises under the Trespass to Property Act. The Ontario Government is delivering on its promise to end hallway health care by taking urgent action to expand access to long-term care, reduce the strain on the health care system in advance of the upcoming flu season and work with front line health care professionals and other experts to transform the province’s health care system. Yesterday, Premier Doug Ford and Christine Elliott, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health and Long-Term Care, announced that Ontario is moving forward with building 6,000 new long-term care beds across Ontario. As an immediate measure, Ford and Elliott also announced that Ontario will create over 640 new beds and spaces and continue funding beds and spaces already operating.
