The OPP’s Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad is requesting assistance in locating a federal offender wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant as a result of his breach of parole. Andrew Stockwell is described by police as a white male, 28 years of age, 6’2″ (188cm), 160 lbs (73kg) with brown hair and brown eyes. He is serving a two year, seven month, and 22 day sentence for Possession of a Prohibited/Restricted Firearm with Ammunition and Possession of a Schedule I Substance. Stockwell is known to frequent the Greater Toronto Area, the Region of Waterloo, and the South Bruce Peninsula Area. Grey County OPP are looking for witnesses who in the investigation of a home invasion that occurred in Meaford Sunday evening. At 8 p.m. October 8th, police received a report of a home invasion at a residence on Eliza Street. When officers arrived, they found that a man had entered the house with a weapon and demanded property. The man who had left before police arrived is described as 5’11” with a stocky build; he was wearing a dark coloured shirt with tan pants and a black bandana over his face. Highway 26, just east of Thornbury and County Road 2 at Indian Brook is still reduced to one lane due to road construction with temporary traffic lights in place.

In sports, in baseball action, Didi Gregorius homered twice off Corey Kluber as the New York Yankees beat the Cleveland Indians 5-2 in Game 5 last night to complete their comeback from a 2-0 deficit in the Division Series and dethrone the AL champions.

And the Washington Nationals beat the Chicago Cubs 5-0 yesterday to send their NL Division Series to a decisive Game 5. Washington hosts Chicago tonight; game time 8:08.

In the NHL, Toronto put on its most disjointed and lacklustre performance of the young season in a 6-3 loss to New Jersey last night.

Elsewhere Calgary rallied for a 4-3 victory over Los Angeles.
