April 26th, following a traffic complaint, Grey County OPP seized licence plates from a vehicle parked on Nelson Street in Meaford after confirming through the Ministry of Transportation that the plates were unauthorized. Further investigation revealed that Huronia West OPP held an outstanding Bench Warrant for the driver of the vehicle for a criminal offence. Grey County OPP arrested the 51-year old Meaford man on the strength of the warrant and subsequently turned him over to Huronia West OPP. And April 28th, Huronia West OPP, Clearview Fire Department and Simcoe County Par-amedics responded to a collision on Lavender Hill Road in Clearview Township. An ATV and a lone occupant were involved in the collision. The male occupant had been trapped under the ATV for sev-eral hours and was transported to Collingwood General and Marine Hospital, then to hospital in To-ronto where the 33 year old Clearview Township man succumbed to his injuries. In the NHL last night, Tampa Bay Lightning found a way to slow Boston’s high-scoring line of Patrice Bergeron, David Pastrnak and Brad Marchand to beat the Bruins 4-2 in Game 2 of their second-round playoff series.
And William Karlsson scored 8:17 into overtime as the Vegas Golden Knights bounced back from a blown lead late in the third period to beat the San Jose Sharks 4-3 to take a 2-1 series lead.
Tonight, Washington is at Pittsburgh (7:30 pm) and Winnipeg is at home to Nashville (8:00 pm).

In the NBA, the Boston Celtics played to a 117-101 victory in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals last night over the Philadelphia 76’ers.
Tonight the Toronto Raptors are at home to Cleveland (8:00 pm), while New Orleans is at Golden State (10:30 pm)

Baseball action, the Toronto Blue Jays edged the Minnesota Twins for a 7-5 win last night.
Minnesota hosts the Jays again tonight; game time 8:10.
