April 26th, following a traffic complaint, Grey County OPP seized licence plates from a vehicle parked on Nelson Street in Meaford after confirming through the Ministry of Transportation that the plates were unauthorized. Further investigation revealed that Huronia West OPP held an outstanding Bench Warrant for the driver of the vehicle for a criminal offence. Grey County OPP arrested the 51-year old Meaford man on the strength of the warrant and subsequently turned him over to Huronia West OPP. And April 28th, Huronia West OPP, Clearview Fire Department and Simcoe County Par-amedics responded to a collision on Lavender Hill Road in Clearview Township. An ATV and a lone occupant were involved in the collision. The male occupant had been trapped under the ATV for sev-eral hours and was transported to Collingwood General and Marine Hospital, then to hospital in To-ronto where the 33 year old Clearview Township man succumbed to his injuries. And William Karlsson scored 8:17 into overtime as the Vegas Golden Knights bounced back from a blown lead late in the third period to beat the San Jose Sharks 4-3 to take a 2-1 series lead.
