A reminder that The Municipality of Meaford 2017 application intake for grant & loan incentives under the Downtown Community Improvement Plan and new Economic CIP is open through today, May 19th. Deliberation and awards will occur shortly thereafter. This year, programs are offered that apply to commercial, industrial, agricultural, value-added and non-residential heritage lands/buildings outside of the Downtown CIP area. Application forms are available on-line or at the Municipal Administration Office during regular business hours. Pre-submission consultation with staff is recommended. In NHL playoffs, the Anaheim Ducks snapped the Nashville Predators’ 10-game home playoff winning streak with a 3-2 victory last night that evened the Western Conference finals at 2-2.

Tonight, the Otawa Senators are at home to the Pittsburgh Penguins as the Senators have a 2-1 series lead in the Eastern Final. Game time tonight 8:00pm

And baseball action…Marcus Stroman hit the second homer by a pitcher in Blue Jays history to lead the Jays over the Atlanta Braves 9-0 last night.
