March 3rd, just after 11:00 a.m., Grey County OPP, the West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the Owen Sound Inter-Township Fire Department located a deceased female, 18-year-old Casaundra Boortz-Brown of Georgian Bluffs. March 2nd, just before midnight, Grey County OPP had received a report of a missing/overdue person from a residence in the Township of Georgian Bluffs. The top 10 nominations were named March 4th, five communities from the East of Canada and 5 communities from the West. Collingwood is facing off for the East division and is 1 of only 2 communities vying for the title in Ontario. And announced at the Festivals & Events Ontario Conference in Sault Ste. Marie March 3rd, the Town of Collingwood is the recipient of two awards: Top 100 Festivals & Events and Municipality of the Year. The Municipality of the Year award recognizes the best in municipal leadership and festival and event partnerships in the Province of Ontario. Based on population, the Town of Collingwood won the Municipality of the Year category among municipalities with a population under 50,000.
