Two suspended drivers have been issued court dates after they were found operating vehicles. March 12th, just before 8 p.m., Grey County OPP conducted a traffic stop on Sykes St. N. in Meaford. The driver of the pick-up truck was found to be suspended. The 44-year old male from Barrie is scheduled to appear in Owen Sound Court May 29th. March 13th, just before 2 a.m., Grey County OPP conducted a traffic stop on Grey Rd. 4 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands. The driver of the Kia Rondo was found to be suspended. The 28-year old male, from Owen Sound, is scheduled to appear in Owen Sound court May 8th. The vehicle was impounded for 7 days. (Source: muskoka411.com)
With March Break upon us, the Kids Zone at The OPP Museum is open year round, free of charge, to all children accompanied by parents or guardians. The designated Museum Kid Zone includes activities like puzzle solving, creating Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head reconstructions, puppet shows and story reading areas. Gallery Displays also have numerous pull out drawers for children (and adults) to investigate the contents. A complementary “Gallery Guide” is available free of charge to all adults who wish to get “all the facts and only the facts” for each of the Museums 40 plus exhibits. In the NHL, Kris Versteeg scored the shootout winner Monday night as the Calgary Flames beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-3 to equal a franchise record with their 10th straight victory.
Elsewhere, Nashville beat Winnipeg 5-4 in O.T., Boston doubled Vancouver 6-3 and Columbus downed Philadelphia 5-3 .
Carolina ruined the New York Islanders’ return from a long road trip with an 8-4 win, the New York Rangers lost to Tampa Bay 3-2 and Arizona blanked Colorado 1-0.
And, finally, St. Louis Blues extended their winning streak to five games with a 3-1 victory over Los Angeles.
