The Meaford Public Library Board reminds you that beginning this month (June 2018), the Meaford Public Library is open Mondays from 10 am to 5 pm, and will extend its hours on Saturdays closing at 5 pm instead of 3 pm. It’s hoped the extended opening hours will increase opportunities to enjoy the library facility, and to access programs and resources including free Wifi and computers as well as books, movies, magazines, audiobooks, and more. The change in the Meaford Public Library’s hours will also mean that on long weekends with a holiday Monday, the library will remain open on Saturday and closed on Monday. New hours, are Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 10 am to 5 pm, Tuesday and Thursday, 10 am to 8 pm and Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm. (Source: Municipality of Meaford)
May 6th, Grey County OPP received a call from the victim reporting that sometime between 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 4th and 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 6th, about 500 apple tree saplings had been stolen. The total value of the stolen saplings was estimated at $4,000. The investigation is ongoing.
