Just before 9 p.m. January 22nd, Grey County OPP pulled over a car headed south on Highway 10 near the Melanchton-Artemesia Townline in the Township of Southgate. After conducting record checks on the vehicle and the driver, a 55-year old New Tecumseth man, police found that the car was not equipped with an approved ignition interlock device, which are often required drivers with histories of impaired driving to operate a vehicle. Officers issued a summons for the man for Drive Motor Vehicle, Not Equipped with an Approved Ignition Interlock Device, unauthorized plates and no insurance. The vehicle was impounded for seven days and the driver is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on March 5th. (Source: muskoka411.com)
