The MNRF is seeking help in identifying the individual or persons involved in shooting and abandoning a white-tailed deer in Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. December 27th, an MNRF located a field dressed deer that was found near the southwest access point to the park off Veterans Way. The head and small portion of the meat had been removed and the rest was left to spoil. Evidence suggests that archery equipment was used to shoot the deer elsewhere in the park between the evening of December 26th and the morning of December 27th. The deer was moved closer to the road using a sleigh. If you have any information about this incident, please contact your conservation officers through the MNRF TIPS LINE at 1-877-847-7667 or crime stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS. (Source: muskoka411.com)
