Grey County OPP is asking for assistance with a break and enter into multiple trailers at Lakeview RV Centre on the corner of Highway 6 & 10 and Lakeview Road, Meaford. OPP say December 27th at about 11:30 a.m. they were called to investigate the break-ins of over 20 recreational trailers which occurred sometime between December 23rd and December 27th. As well, OPP have been responding to a number of reports from vehicle owners who are now victims of failing to lock their vehicle during the dark hours of December 26th and 27th when they parked it and are now missing; cell phones and GPS units to name a few items and more importantly wallets and vehicle ownerships and insurance slips. Losing these pieces of identification can possibly make the vehicle owner a victim of identity theft and numerous other identity and financial type crimes. If you have information, contact Grey County OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS). And remember, Ontario is enforcing new laws as of tomorrow, January 1st , as individuals who commit distracted driving offences will face harsher punishments. (Source: muskoka411.com)
