Georgian College has rescheduled its Spring Open House to April 21st, following the weekend cancellation due to weather. Prospective and future students will preview what they’ll be doing in class and program areas will offer information sessions. Attendees will also learn about full-time, part-time and online program options, take student-led tours of campuses and residences, learn about housing options, and check out clubs, activities and student services. The rescheduled open house will be Saturday, April 21st ,9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at all campuses, including Owen Sound Campus, 1450 8th St. E., Owen Sound. There will be free bus service to the campus from Collingwood and free bus service to the campus from Wasaga Beach. Minnesota cruised to a 6-2 victory over Winnipeg in Game 3 of their best-of-seven series. Columbus beat Washington 5-4 in Game 2 to take a 2-0 lead in their first-round playoff series and Vegas rallied to move to the brink of the expansion franchise’s first playoff series victory with a 3-2 win over Los Angeles.

Baseball action, rain postponed a game between the Toronto Blue Jays and Cleveland Indians for a second straight day yesterday as Saturday’s game also was postponed. The teams will play a tradition-al doubleheader May 3rd, in what was an off day for both clubs. The Boston Red Sox extended the best start in their 118-year history, beating the Baltimore Orioles 3-1 yesterday at frigid Fenway Park. Tonight, the Jays are at home to Kansas City; game time 7:07.
