Rehabilitation of Structure 030 (Bakeshop Bridge) in Meaford continues causing the bridge to be temporarily closed. The Bakeshop Bridge is located at the intersection of Edwin St and Miller Street/Legion Road. The entrance to Beautiful Joe Park will remain open. The work includes rehabilitation of the concrete barriers and girders, expansion joint replacement, sidewalk repairs, and waterproofing and resurfacing of the bridge deck. The work should substantially be completed by September 15th. During the closure, a detour route will be clearly marked. Where possible, residents are asked to avoid parking on the road in front of their property along the detour route in order to allow for the efficient flow of traffic. For the month of June, the Grey County OPP will be unable to process fingerprint or police record check requests at the Meaford Satellite location. Residents needing fingerprints or record checks in June are asked to attend the Grey County OPP Administration Center in Chatsworth at 317057 Highway 6 & 10. Office hours at this detachment are Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Policing operations will not be affected as Grey County OPP officers will be available 24 hours a day by OPP dispatch at 1-888-310-1122. (Source: muskoka411.com)

The Golden State Warriors have their revenge. With a 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals for the second straight year, the Warriors sealed the deal this time around with a 129-120 win over the Cavaliers in Game 5 last night . The win gives the Warriors their second championship in three seasons.

In baseball action… Dustin Pedroia singled home the winning run in the 11th inning to lift the Boston Red Sox to a 6-5 win over the Philadelphia Phillies last night, while Atlanta came from three runs down to beat Washington 11-10 and the Chicago White Sox beat Baltimore 10-7. The Jays are back in action tonight at home to Tampa Bay; game time 7:07.
