The Town of The Blue Mountains has launched of Your View, the Town’s new online public engagement platform. Residents and stakeholders are encouraged to join the conversation by visiting www.ourview.thebluemountains.ca. Your View, will give residents greater access to share feedback and opinions on Town projects and initiatives, as well as the opportunity to participate in community discussions, surveys, polls and fun projects such as photo contests. All responses submitted through the online engagement platform will be reviewed by members of Council and staff. To take part, users are required to register for an account. There will be a temporary road closure on Sixth Street from Spruce Street to Walnut Street, Collingwood on Thursday, September 5 from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM due to tree removal. Signage will be in place.
Ash tree removal for the Town of the Blue Mountains will be taking place along the Georgian Trail, from Grey Road 21 to Old Lakeshore Road, starting September 9th through to September 30th. The trail will remain open while this work is being performed.

Library supporters recently celebrated as the Friends of the Meaford Library presented two cheques to the Municipality for the new library building. The first cheque is for the sum of $83,350 and represents the Friends of the Meaford Library’s commitment to the new facility and comes from funds raised at both the Net Shed and the Friends’ Sunday night concerts. The second cheque is for the sum of $175,000 and represents donations to the new library made by individuals and families as well as businesses in the Meaford area. Amounting to $258,350, these two cheques are part of the more than $500,000 fundraised to date for the new accessible Library building.
