The Municipality of Meaford and Meaford Public Library have been awarded a contribution of $366,064 for the new library project. The renovation project is partially funded by the Government of Canada’s Enabling Accessibility Fund to help create a barrier-free, inclusive library building for Meaford residents. The funds will be used to help offset costs to ensure the new Meaford Public Library. The renovations to the Library’s new building are underway and expected to finish in June of 2020. The new building will offer a single-floor, fully accessible space to house the library’s collection, as well as offer meeting spaces and on-site programming for residents and visitors to the community.
