Georgian College is hosting an event tomorrow (Tuesday, April 16th) to support mature students interested in going back to college. “Get Help to Go Back” offers an opportunity to connect with college admissions, recruitment and financial aid staff. Participants can speak to a career consultant, get one-on-one support with program research, college applications, financial aid requests, and more. If you apply in person at the event, Georgian will cover your Ontario College Application Service (OCAS) application fee. RSVP online to ensure adequate staffing. The event will take place at all seven campus locations in Barrie, Midland, Muskoka (Bracebridge), Orillia, Owen Sound, Orangeville and South Georgian Bay (Collingwood), from 5 to 7 pm tomorrow. Participants are welcome to bring family and friends. Parking is free for Get Help to Go Back guests. You will receive detailed instructions about how to access complimentary parking when you RSVP online.

The Town of The Blue Mountains has been recognized as a Youth Friendly Community from Play Works and is now a Designated Silver Youth Friendly Community, joining a list of other municipalities committed to serving youth aged 13 to 19. A Masters champion again. Tiger Woods rallied to win the Masters for the fifth time yesterday, before a delirious audience at Augusta National.

In the NHL, the Columbus Blue Jackets extended their stunning post-season mastery of the Tampa Bay Lightning, beating the NHL’s best team, 3-1 last night and moving to within a game of sweeping the playoff series.
The New York Islanders are on the cusp of just their second playoff series win in more than a quarter-century, topping Pittsburgh 4-1, to take a 3-0 series lead.
The Winnipeg Jets beat the St. Louis Blues 6-3 last night to climb back into their first-round playoff series.
And Vegas doubled San Jose, 6-3; the Golden Knights now lead their series 2 games to 1.

Tonight, Boston is at Toronto, Carolina hosts Washington (both games 7:00 pm), Nashville is at Dallas (9:30 pm) and Colorado is at home to Calgary (10:00)

Baseball action, the Tampa Bay Rays took advantage of some sloppy Toronto defence early, en route to an 8-4 win over the Blue Jays yesterday.
Tonight, the Jays are at Minnesota; game time 7:40 pm.
