Director Todd Phillips’ standalone “Joker” movie starring Joaquin Phoenix will hit theatres, October 4th, 2019, Warner Bros. and DC said late yesterday afternoon. The release date, and title, were announced as this year’s edition of the ultimate fanboy gathering, Comic-Con, got underway in San Diego. Warners and DC will take the stage there on Saturday.
It’s going to be a long wait for us comic fans to see the first Valiant adaptation hit theatres with Sony Pictures’ “Bloodshot” targeting a February 21st, 2020, release. Vin Diesel will play the live-action superhero for the first time in Dave Wilson’s film, which co-stars Toby Kebbell (of “Kong: Skull Island”), Eiza Gonzalez, Michael Sheen, Talulah Riley, Alex Hernandez and Sam Heughan.
