Just after 6 p.m. on August 7, 2017, Grey County OPP received a report of an attempted break-in to a residence located on Highpoint Crescent in Grey Highlands. The resident went to investigate after hearing a loud noise at the back door. The noise was an unknown man attempting to force his way through the door. The suspect fled the scene as soon as he was confronted by the homeowner.
Police learned that about 10 minutes prior to the break-in, the homeowner’s wife noticed a man and a woman in a grey vehicle in their driveway. The woman had approached the residence and was seen looking into the windows. She knocked on the front door, but the resident didn’t open it as she didn’t recognize the woman.
The female suspect was described as in her late 20’s to early 30’s, with dark brown hair piled on top of her head, wearing a white dress with multi-colours on it. Her back was covered in tattoos. The male suspect looked to be in his 30’s and had dark hair.
