Eli Roth is set to direct a movie based on the popular video game trilogy ‘Borderlands’ from Gearbox Software and publisher 2K that will be set up at Lionsgate it was announced Thursday. ‘Borderlands’, first announced as a movie as far back as 2015, is an irreverent and visceral first person shooter and role-playing game about four ‘Vault Hunters’ on a planet called Pandora who battle against local bandits and marauders in their search for a hidden vault rumored to contain advanced alien technology.

New Republic Pictures has won the auction for ‘’Family Jewels’, a comedy pitch starring Goldie Hawn, Bette Midler and Diane Keaton, who have not appeared on screen together since 1996’s ‘The First Wives Club’. The film, which is eyeing a 2020 production start, is a multigenerational family comedy in which Hawn, Midler and Keaton are forced to spend the Christmas holidays together along with their kids and grandkids — after the man they were all once married to suddenly dies in a department store.(Source: The Wrap; Image: IMDb…. ‘Hollywood’ is officially Ryan Murphy’s second original series to debut on Netflix, launching May 1st. The seven-episode limited series ‘Hollywood’ follows a group of aspiring actors and filmmakers in the titular town, post-World War II, as they try to make it at any cost.(Source: Variety)
