Chatsworth Man Facing Drug Charges After Being Stopped for Speeding

A Chatsworth man is facing drug charges after he was pulled over speeding in Georgian Bluffs.

On May 12, 2018, just after 9 p.m., Grey County OPP stopped the vehicle on Grey Road 1, just east of Linton Road. Police questioned the driver about the odour of marijuana emanating from the vehicle, and he admitted to possessing a small quantity. Police seized the drugs.

As a result, a 22-year-old man from Chatsworth, was charged with possession of a controlled substance under 30 grams and possession of a controlled substance – cannabis resin – under three grams. He was also issued a summons for speeding.

The man is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on June 21, 2018.
